"Kremser white clay" is an excellent lead-free alternative to the classic "Kremser white". Instead of the toxic pigment lead white, it contains a combination of the pigments titanium white and zinc white, ground in safflower oil - obtained from the seeds of the safflower - of particularly pure and bright quality.
Kremser white clay has a slightly warm white tone. It has a slightly lower covering power and brightening power than titanium white. When mixed with other oil paints, it has a drying-accelerating and film-stabilizing effect - like the original. Paints mixed with Kremser white clay also have a buttery consistency that is easy to apply.
Kremser white clay is available in a 90 ml tube and can be combined with all Schmincke oil paints and aids.
