For low-absorbent materials:
For low-absorbent, smooth materials (e.g. metal or glass), both surfaces should be wiped with a damp cloth immediately before applying Pattex 100%. A relatively thin layer of glue on one of the two surfaces is sufficient.
For highly absorbent materials:
Highly absorbent, very porous materials (e.g. wood) require a larger adhesive application - in some cases even on both sides.
Use with paints:
Pattex 100% is suitable for painted surfaces and can be used without any problems with acrylic paints, DD paints and alkyd resin paints. Pattex 100% is not compatible with single-component PU paints (polyurethane paints).
Cleaning / storage:
Tools should be cleaned immediately after use with alcohol, acetone or white spirit. If Pattex 100% is stored tightly closed and in a cool and dry place, the adhesive can be used again and again.
Preparation:
The surfaces to be bonded must be stable, dry, free of grease and dust. If necessary, clean the surfaces with a solvent, such as white spirit. Completely remove old adhesive and sealant residues and paints that are not adhering properly. Protect adjacent surfaces by covering them with foil or adhesive tape.
Apply adhesive:
The application of Pattex 100% depends on the materials to be bonded. As a rule, one-sided application is sufficient. The best results are achieved when the adhesive dries for 24 hours. The amount applied depends on the degree of absorbency of the material.
Areas of application:
