The original GOLDEN Acrylics line is known for its exceptionally smooth, buttery consistency. It contains the widest range of unique, pure pigments in a 100% acrylic emulsion available to professional artists. These paints offer excellent durability and lightfastness. No fillers, extenders, opacifiers, toners or dyes have been added.

Each Heavy Body paint is formulated differently depending on the type of pigment. Paints that tolerate a higher pigment "load" will produce an opaque, matte finish when dry. Paints that are more reactive and do not tolerate a high amount of pigment will have a glossier finish when dry and tend to be more transparent. Heavy Body paints do not contain any additives such as matting agents, so the sheen of each paint will vary.

Colors that are more reactive and do not allow as much pigment loading tend to have a glossier, more transparent, finish.
