Put it on the palette and mix.
You can also apply ox-gall medium diluted with water in advance to paper.
If the paper is strong, the color of the varnish will be dull.
Due to ongoing difficulties in sourcing the raw material, natural bile,
we have made the following changes to the specifications of Holbein
Watercolor Medium OX Gall:
Raw Material Change: The raw materials have been changed from
natural to synthetic sources.
Color Change: This change eliminates the yellowish color previously
derived from bile. The liquid is now colorless and transparent.
Ethical and Environmental Benefits: The new formulation contains no
animal-derived ingredients, making it more environmentally and
ethically friendly.
Appearance: The liquid may exhibit a slight cloudiness due to the
surfactants in the formula. Please shake gently before use. (Please
note: Due to the nature of the squeeze bottle, this cloudiness may be
difficult to see from the outside.)
Performance: There is no significant difference in the product's
performance or feel compared to the previous formulation.
