Mixing the medium and paint increases the binding capacity, which allows fine lines to be drawn cleanly.
Dries a little slower.
Application
Mix the watercolor paint with the medium on the palette and use without diluting.
Mixing the medium with water has almost no effect. If used frequently, a shiny film remains on the painting surface and the drawing becomes hard and brittle.
As the medium is acidic (in terms of pH value), be careful when mixing it with ultramarine paints. Ultramarine is susceptible to acids.
